This is the class website for VART 2600/2601: Introductory Digital Imaging at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland (formerly Sir Wilfred Grenfell College), 2010-2011. Matthew Hollett is the class instructor.
VART 2600: Introductory Digital Imaging I (Fall 2010) is a studio-based introduction to the production of art using digital technology, particularly digital imaging software. Through studio assignments, research, and class discussion, students will develop a critical sense of the medium, as well as a personal approach to the use of technology as a tool for creative expression.
In VART 2601: Introductory Digital Imaging II (Winter 2011), students continue to develop their digital imaging editing skills, and learn to apply this knowledge to other forms of new media art such as animation, video, and web projects. We’ll explore how to present digital artwork on the web, and continue to learn how to talk and write about digital media.

The website uses a custom WordPress theme, with a small dose of jQuery for animated effects.
