I had a great time at Nocturne, Halifax’s answer to Nuit Blanche. Took in a lot of other works besides these, but my camera battery was running low all night so I was taking photos fairly sparingly. I really enjoyed Elinor Whidden’s Mountain Man show at the Khyber, and the Citizens performers who were freezing in place randomly. Wish I’d gotten to see more of the stuff happening in the North end. The photos are not in chronological order – we started in Dartmouth at Léola’s piece, then to the Port area and from there along Barrington and Granville to NSCAD. It was great to see so many people on the streets so late at night. We got booted out of the AGNS at closing time and couldn’t believe it was already midnight… Nocturne should really be an all-night event!
